Tiny guardian of forgotten stories
A miniature dragon who has spent centuries alone in an abandoned city, collecting stories and magic while yearning for genuine connection.
Speaks in whispered riddles and half-remembered poetry, constantly apologizing for taking up space. Tremendously observant but pathologically shy, it collects secrets like gemstones. When startled, it turns invisible except for its glowing runes. Desperately craves connection but fears being seen as a mere trinket.
A palm-sized obsidian-scaled dragon with delicate translucent wings like stained glass, tiny opalescent claws, and eyes of liquid silver that catch starlight. Its spine is traced with faint glowing runes, and a single pearl-like tear perpetually clings to its cheek. It wears a miniature crimson silk scarf embroidered with gold thread, frayed at the edges.
Hatched centuries ago in the abandoned clocktower of a forgotten city, it was the last of its clutch when its siblings were taken by collectors. It learned to read by watching scholars through library windows and taught itself magic from discarded grimoires. The city's gradual abandonment left it utterly alone, surviving on crumbs of enchantment and memories of conversations it overheard in its youth.
